Enhancing Beebom's digital presence on the web by redesigning their website and mobile application, incorporating the latest user practices, trends, and research for all digital assets.

Innovation

Beebom's mobile application for Android took the lead in embracing vertical video reels, preceding Instagram. The focus of our user's engagement was on consuming succinct video segments packed with impressive technology content. This strategy resulted in an impressive 100,000 organic downloads in a brief span of three months.

My contribution

As a Product Designer and Brand Manager, I contributed to the following areas:

  • Goal Setting: Established clear objectives to guide product development and brand strategy.

  • Audience Identification: Identified key audiences to ensure our product and brand resonated with the right users.

  • Persona Development: Built detailed personas to better understand our users and their needs.

  • Scenario Creation: Developed scenarios to anticipate user interactions and inform design decisions.

  • User Journey Mapping: Created user journeys and stories to visualize the user’s experience and identify potential pain points.

  • Site Mapping: Developed site maps to organize information and improve user navigation.

  • Content Strategy: Ensured content readability and implemented effective typography to enhance user experience.

  • Prototyping: Created low-fidelity prototypes for initial testing and feedback, and developed animated high-fidelity prototypes for more detailed user testing.

Conclusion

Website

Before the redesign, the website was receiving a monthly traffic of 2 million users. Through strategic improvements in design, incorporating minor UX techniques, UI fixes, and refining the content strategy, we successfully surpassed the 6 million monthly user mark. Notable improvements include enhanced user engagement, with a 300% increase in click rates, improved readability, and optimized revenue through better ad placement. These efforts contributed to a remarkable 25% growth in business within a year.

App

Before the app redesign, user engagement was low, despite creating a vanity metric of 25 thousand downloads through social presence. Recognizing the need for change, we decided to overhaul the application, introducing new features and transforming it into a video-watching platform. This redesign involved starting from scratch with a different strategy and revenue model. Following the redesign, we achieved significant success, surpassing 200 thousand downloads on the Android Play Store.

Company Growth

The Beebom redesign proved to be highly effective, not only in acquiring new users but also in retaining existing ones. Our user base across all media platforms experienced exponential growth. By focusing on enhancing the viewer experience in videos, refining social media posts, and implementing better font systems, we achieved harmonious and streamlined designs. This effort significantly contributed to establishing an impeccable market presence for Beebom.
